ARTWORKS, a vibrant visual arts school and gallery operating in the heart of Trenton since 1988, offers an assortment of both credit and noncredit classes and workshops through Mercer County Community College's Fine Arts and Continuing Studies programs.
The many “traditional” and unique course offerings include introductory classes in painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, as well as specialized classes for artists seeking to expand their repertoire or to experiment in a different medium. With class sizes averaging eight to twelve, students benefit from intensive fine arts learning experiences, studying directly with accomplished instructors in a studio setting.
Catering both to beginners as well as to established and developing artists in the region, the ARTWORKS fine arts initiative is a collaboration between Mercer County Community College, the City of Trenton, the ARTWORKS non-profit Board, and the Trenton Artists Workshop Association (TAWA).
